This intake features a pre-oiled filter. An oil filter allows for better airflow while filtering out 98% of contaminants. A dry filter is designed for dry and dusty climates and while airflow is not as good as the oiled filter, it filters out 99% of contaminants. The dry filter will not be restricted by dust as quickly as an oiled filter in a dusty climate.
