Engineered to increase downforce.
According to the Mustang aerodynamicist Jonathan Gesek, the underbody strakes work hand in hand with the rocker shields and other underbody panels to create a low pressure zone underneath your Mustang. Air is directed outward along the rocker panels and across the belly pans to help draw the S650 closer to the ground with more downforce for better handling. As the air is being drawn outward, it also aids in moving air in the center of the car towards the rear, keeping airflow more even.
