Steeda Mustang Upper Third Link Spherical Differential Bearing (2005-2014)

Steeda's spherical bearing for your 2005-2014 S197 Mustang replaces the upper trailing arm axle bushing with a Teflon-lined spherical bearing. Designed in Sept of 2004 with proprietary CAD data, our 3rd link Spherical Bearing features billet Steel construction for Ultimate Strength. This kit has been proven on 1500hp+ Street cars, road racecars and 7 second drag cars cutting 1.1 sixty foot times!!!!

Starting with 1018 billet steel we machine the bearing housing to exact tolerances in-house on our multi axis CNC Lathe. After that we send off the housing and retaining nut, also made in-house, to get Yellow Zinc plated. Once back from plating the assembly team will press in a Custom Teflon lined Stainless Steel spherical bearing. This isn't an off the shelf bearing like most companies use, this is a Custom preloaded bearing made to Steeda's specs. This insures the quietest operation available with minimum deflection and constant pinion angles with high horsepower applications. Once the bearing is installed the Steeda Team retains the bearing with a 360 degree stainless steel spiral lock, much stronger than other companies snap rings that can fail with much less force. The team finishes it off by pressing in the billet 6061 spacers that provide plenty of articulation for the S197 rear suspension.
